As a meek and quiet child I became an easy target for the family predators. Children were to be seen and not heard, so rarely did I speak up against injustices. The times I did, were met with quick and stearn repercussions. Thus most of my adult years were embraced with this same submissive and frustrated spirit. Breaking free and finding my voice has been a difficult process. It's a real joy to be at this point in the juncture and extend support for others as we #HealForward.
